Overview/Purpose

Children of America provides tax information for families that indicates how much was billed and how much was paid during the year. School management needs to have this information readily available as a form of good customer service to our families.

 

1.7.1 Automated Tax Statement Distribution

Tax statements are automatically emailed on the first business day of the new year to all families who had ledger activity in the previous year.


1.7.2 How to Pull Tax Statement from ProCare

Tax statements can be retrieved for all your families by utilizing a report in ProCare. 

  • Standard Reports
  • Family Accounting
  • Account Statement
  • Charge/Credit Summary (w/Balance). 
  • The date range should be “Last Year.” 

School management can print these out for families upon request.


1.7.3 Purpose of Providing Families a Tax Statement

The purpose of providing families with their yearly account statement for taxes is to offer a comprehensive record of financial transactions related to childcare services over the past year. 

  • It enables families to accurately report childcare expenses when filing their taxes, potentially qualifying them for deductions or credits.
